Pride's Generator has been the most influential sire in the TWH breed for the last 15 years. Pride's Generator died in 2000 or 2001. Generator's Diamond was imported into Canada as a 2 yr old by Ted Smith of Taber, AB. "Diamond" had been started toward a show career in the US, but acted too much like a stallion in the show ring. Diamond was purchased by Keith Oberle in 1995 and moved to the Skyline at Horse Creek Tennessee Walking Horse ranch. A half-interest was sold to Eldon Eadie of EE Ranch in about 2000. Shortly after arriving in Canada, and before arriving at Skyline, he had an injury which required removal of a pectoral muscle. This affected his ability to cover mares, so his progeny are few, unfortunately. Diamond has an amazing ability to put the "walk" into all foals, whether from pacey or trotty mares. He also puts color into many. Black mares frequently produce sorrel (chestnut) foals with a white mane and tail. Due to a well-placed kick from a mare when breeding, his previous injury, and his advancing age, Diamond is no longer standing to outside mares. He covered 8 of his own last year, so there will be progeny from this outstanding sire around for a few years yet. Keith Oberle Skyline Walkers |
